Looking for a few good ideas
Got a good idea? Dennis Smith wants to hear it.
“We believe that clinical staff provide the best ideas for growth and process improvement. They know what the issues are and the ways we can improve smaller things, like adding new light fixtures, to bigger ideas like building a new outpatient wing,” said Smith, administrative director of clinical support services.
That’s why Novant Health UVA Health System Culpeper Medical System has launched the Good Ideas Fair, which kicks off this week with an ice cream social on Tuesday, Aug. 16, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the dining room.
“This fair gives our staff an opportunity to submit their ideas to improve our patient and visitor experience, and streamline, improve or enhance the work of their department or the hospital as a whole,” Smith said. “No idea is too big or too small.”
The Good Ideas Fair team member engagement ice cream social will give staff the chance to grab a few lightbulb-shaped stress balls to stimulate creative ideas and submit their ideas in person. The ice cream social isn’t your only chance to be heard, however. Submit your ideas online to email@example.com before Sept. 9.
“The growth planning committee can’t wait to hear what everyone comes up with,” Smith said. “Things like the Good Ideas Fair are what make Culpeper Medical Center so unique and so successful. We’re all a team, and we all have a say in how we shape the future and how we serve our patients.”
